Part icons, part Native Tongues, and part regular good 'ol fashioned Hip hop heads, A Tribe Called Quest are one of our cultures' most important artists. So as every great person/movement/event goes - let's make a film about 'em!
Michael Rapaport has now been several years into the process of making the tentatively titled documentary, Beats Rhymes and Life. A film about Tribe with many insights, behind-the-scenes moments, and a who's who of interviews, 'Beats Rhymes and Life' seems like it's shaping to be quite the film. In the following clip Michael talks about final touches to the film, the inspiration behind it, and his goal(s) for this documentary.

Now I know he said the premiere is 2011 Sundance Film Festival, but what about a special little screening for 2010 A3C? What better feedback for the producer/director than a massive gathering of die hard Hip hop fans all in the mood to celebrate that real Hip hop ish! Heck, it could even be screened outdoors with about 4,000 Hip hop heads at a particular cookout.
