Bekay is performing on Friday, Oct 8th at the Kevin Nottingham stage

1. Featured contender on BET’s 106th and Park Freestyle Friday rap battle.

2. Competed in MTV’s MC Battle. This tryout consisted of over 5,000 rappers and Bekay was chosen as one of 27 finalists.

3. Finalist on MTV’s Making the Band. Of over 50,000 hopefuls from seven major U.S. cities, Bekay stood tall among the remaining 25 finalists.

4. First place winner in New York’s largest showcase competition, held at NYC’s Cheetah Club, hosted by A.J. of BET and Funk Master Flex’s Big Dog Pitbulls.

5. Featured on “The Raw”, the number one charted, college radio hip-hop song in the nation for the week of June 13, 2005. "The Raw" features Bekay rapping along-side industry heavyweights, Inspectah Deck and Saigon. “The Raw” was also featured as the underground pick of the month in XXL (June, 2005).

6. Winner of the International Music Festival's best rap/hip-hop solo artist award (July 2005).

7. Bekay has received airplay on New York’s largest commercial stations Hot 97 and Z100 as well as through various Sirius/XM satellite music channels. Bekay has also made several appearances on popular New York based underground stations such as The Halftime Show and Squeeze Radio.

8. Recorded one of the last collaborations ever with the late Old Dirty Bastard, titled, “Where Brooklyn At?” This single went on to become the number two charted college radio hip-hop record for the week of May 29, 2006.

9. Qualifiying contender on Monday Night Fight Klub.

10. Rawkus 50 Alumni: In mid 2007, Bekay was inducted into the Rawkus 50, an artist driven revolution comprised of the 50 next important hip hop artists. As a member, Bekay delivered a digital album titled “The Horror Flick LP” to Rawkus Records. Bekay’s album was one of the program’s top sellers.

11. Has worked with Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, The Alchemist, Illmind, Marco Polo, Masta Ace, Dilated Peoples, Heltah Skeltah Saigon, Wordsworth, R.A. The Rugged Man, DJ Revolution among others on his previously released, underground classic Hunger Pains.
