If you haven’t checked out BET’s new show “ Music Moguls” you might want to make that your next show to catch instead of the Olympics. This show is not like any other show on BET and it isn’t just a regular reality show that includes celebrities that aren’t really on the music scene like they use to be. This show displays the true music moguls in the Hip-Hop community that have truly made an impact in music.

BET’s Music Moguls includes four moguls : Snoop Dogg, Damon Dash, Birdman “Baby”, and Jermaine Dupri. Each episode journeys the audience through the everyday business plays each mogul takes part in everyday in their career and it also explains why each mogul deserves to have “respeck” place on their name. Outside of managing Hip-Hop stars like Shad Moss “ Bow Wow” , Nicki Minaj, Wayne, Jigga, and the 6 God himself ( Drake) ; these moguls are blessing us with the different avenues they partake in and are showing us all of the various ways we can impact the business industry and become more innovative for ourselves and our own brands.

A couple of things that one can learn from this seasons Music Moguls are as follows: persistence , adaptability, flexibility, hard work ethic , and consistency. One mogul that stands out the most is our beloved uncle Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dog was presented to the public as an artist, but he has earned the title as one of the best leaders in show business. Along with cranking up his daughter's career in the music business he has created avenues for himself that has placed him on a lot of people’s bucket list. From his new website “ merryjane.com” to his nationwide tour with Wiz Khalifa, Uncle Snoop displays how to be persistent with his businesses, how fast to adapt to the many different avenues that are presented in the music industry, how flexible one should be with family business and personal business, and the hard work it takes to be consistent with yourself and your business.

Being a music mogul does not take much, but hard work. How hard could that be? Make sure that the next time you flip your channel to BET, you also flip over your notepad to take a couple of notes from the amazing music moguls that are being honored on BET Music Moguls . Becoming a mogul takes hustle and dedication. The moment you show your weakness, is the moment you have failed at your position as a music mogul.
