How has your city and influenced your music?
Coming from Miami you see a lot of different cultures and all walks of life . Being from Miami influenced me to wear loud color clothes or all black sometimes. It's tropical, then it can be a dark place; and that's how alot of my music sounds. My name has Miami lingo in it "FWAY" (originally spelled Fwea) means "fresh" in Haitian Creole language. So you know I'm reppin Miami: we the only ones that use the word.
What song, video or project are you most proud of to date?
Im most proud of my latest EP titled Pray 4 FWAY. It's a short project, but every song I'm spitting some uplifting inspirational raps. But at the same time, you can bounce to it and the beats sound like nothing that's out there right now.
What do you enjoy about bout being a hip-hop artist?
I gotta say making the music, growing as an artist, pushing boundaries, finding new sounds and performing... Having the chance to entertain the fans is a blessing.
What can people expect from you over the next 6 months?
I'm dropping videos off of Pray 4 FWAY and I'll be releasing another project soon titled Aqua FWAY.
What advice would you give to yourself a few years ago?
Same advice I give myself now: keep grinding, you not doing enough!
What do you most look forward to about A3C Festival & Conference?
Doing what I love, performing; and linking up with some of the artists I know.
