With all the hype circulating around Kanye West, J.Cole, and Mac Miller's newly released LP's, Wale still managed to gain some attention with his privately held listening party held at Heist this past Monday for his upcoming album The Gifted. In the same fashion as Kanye West's listening party last week no video recording, no audio recording, and no interviews were allowed during the Maybach Music Group's narration as he broke down each album cut. Below is a few pictures from the event as well as Sabrina Vaz ( Of The Red Tag Society ) first hand account of the night.
"Wale's private listening session for "The Gifted", at The Heist Lounge in DC, was an awesome experience. The drinks were good [Ciroc], I networked with many bright individuals such as Jae Murphy, DMVixen, Recording Artist Dunson, and Erica Vain. Jay Claxton (WERQ) and Flexxa (DTLR Radio) were awesome hosts for the event. Wale came in a decent time, and walked us through each single of his album. He explained the meaning of the album title: The Gifted, and explained each of the songs he played.
Wale showed everyone love, took pictures with a smile, and in return everyone showed him love!
