I'd like to take a moment to show some love to the Soundset Festival coming up on Labor Day weekend (May 30, 2010) in Shakopee, MN. As you can probably gather from the lineup, the event has a very similar spirit to the A3C.
This year, Soundset will be featuring A3C veterans like Del, Souls of Mischief, People Under the Stairs, Yelawolf, and the Solillaquists of Sound; along with the likes of Method Man & Redman, Atmosphere, Murs, E&A, Brother Ali and many more.
The Soundset Festival is now in it's third year. The event is all ages, and tickets are $35. If you live in MN, or the surrounding area, I can't think of a reason that you wouldn't want to attend. I'd go myself if someone wanted to pay for my flight.
In any event, hat's off to the good people at Rhymsayers for putting this together. I look forward to seeing you and and many of these performers at the A3C in October.
