Atlanta is quickly becoming a tech hub. The city is already a leader in select tech sectors (ie. Fintech), but Atlanta is perfectly positioned to become the global leader in music tech. Atlanta has the schools, infrastructure, music industry, artists, creatives and culture to become the world leader in music tech... but how does that happen?

Atlanta's Allan Nance (entrepreneur/investor), Dallas Austin (entrepreneur/record producer) and Jewel Burks (entrepreneur) will be discussing how to build Atlanta's music tech ecosystem with Holly Beilin (Hypepotamus) at the A3C Conference on Thursday, Oct 6th during the Music Tech Experience (MTX).

About the Speakers:

Allen is an entrepreneur, investor, and director. From a rented house in 2000 he founded a company that became one of the world’s largest email marketing firms leading it to three Inc. 500 awards representing the fastest growing private companies in the United States before its acquisition. Today, he is an active technology investor and advisor to a set of companies that generate over $500 million a year in revenue and employ 3,000 talented individuals. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO).

Dallas is a record producer, songwriter, musician, and film producer. He is a legend in the Atlanta music community. He getting his start with Motown and then working with LA Reid & Babyface at Laface Records. He has works with dozens of artists including: TLC, Madonna, Pink and Gwen Stefani.

Jewel is the Team Lead for Visual Search at Amazon. Prior to joining Amazon, Jewel founded Partpic, a groundbreaking visual search tech startup which raised over $2 Million in funding and landed several Fortune 500 customers, before it was acquired by Amazon in late 2016. Jewel also serves as a board member at Amplify 4 Good and advises local startups. Jewel is passionate about bridging the digital divide and democratizing access to opportunities within the tech ecosystem.
