A3C & honorCode will host 30 seniors and 10 teachers from APS to experience the A3C Conference and Action Summit for Social Justice on October 4th & 5th, 2018. Through facilitated workshops before and after the conference, honorCode will help teachers build subject-specific classroom projects aligned to the behind-the-scenes business practices within the creative industries featured at A3C. Selected student participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, interact with up-and-coming artists, and gain invaluable insight and information as they prepare to enter the next chapter of their lives.
In 2017, A3C and the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) Office of Teaching and Learning began their partnership to increase APS student awareness of the many professions in Atlanta’s entertainment and creative industries. The A3C Conference hosted 25 APS Seniors on October 5th & 6th, 2017, to expose students to opportunities in Atlanta’s entertainment industry through panel discussions, mentor sessions, and workshops for the two days.
