In lieu of applications opening for the 2017 A3C Action Pitch Contest, it's only right that we highlight the continued success of our previous winners to get a few gears moving. Since being awarded A3C Action's 2016 Peoples Choice Award, Girls Make Beats has continued to thrive in South FL. by helping young ladies convert their music dreams into realities. We  had the opportunity to catch up with the organization's founder and president Tiffany Miranda, who is still extremely hard at work.

"The investment was a huge help to us! We’ve had some major advances in our Girls Make Beats program," Tiffany said. "A3C's investment allowed us to provide more scholarships into our program and made it easier to secure additional match funding.

And in her eyes, funding isn't the only prize they won last year.  During our chat, Tiffany was sure to make note of how helpful the pre-pitch training was to their future investment meetings, and said "A3C played a huge role in training us to properly pitch our program to others." In addition to landing themselves on CBS news, they've recently partnered with a local iHeart radio station that's agreed to provide opportunities for the girls to DJ at major events, including this year's Jingle Ball and Mackapalooza

With their expansion unfolding, Tiffany is excited to embark on the Girls Make Beats Multi-City tour kicking off in July. "Our goal is to work with 144 girls this summer! We've partnered with SAE to bring our program to 5 major cities: Atlanta, Chicago, New York, San Francisco and LA," she mentioned. Falling right in-line with Tiffany's never ending pursuit to connect young women with a unique opportunity, their new program is designed to introduce teenage girls to a college campus through the GMB curriculum.
