For this month’s installment, the A3C social club returned to another Edgewood favorite, Noni’s. The intimate space was perfect. There was no room to stand on the wall and people watch, there was only room to mix and mingle. There was no particular crowd, no one type of music being played, there was a diverse blend. Where else can you hear Trouble followed by Amy Winehouse and it works? The outside patio was a great snap-shot of Hip Hop culture at it’s finest. Kudos to DJ Genesis. It was good to hear a nice mix of contemporary hits and music lover classics. This is what the A3C is all about and the Social Club is a mere snippet of what’s to come in October. Here’s a few reasons why you should be at the next A3C Social Club.
1) Diverse Crowd- Each A3C Social Club brings out a variety of Hip Hop lovers and industry professionals. There were tastemakers, producers, artists, and media in the building. If you’re looking to connect with like minds or create business relationships, the room will be full of potential.
2) Something New- No one Social Club is the same. Each event is hosted at a new location and a different DJ offers a fresh vibe to set the mood. While you may see some familiar faces, each month brings out enough newcomers that the crowd, or nothing else for that matter, will ever be the same.
3) Party with a Purpose- There is a lot of room to have fun but there will also be a lot of room for business if you’re looking to connect with people. The idea of the social club is to socialize (of course) and network with people of similar interests. The A3C fest has always been a melting pot of talent and business. The social club is no different. The only way you’ll leave empty handed is if you make no effort.
4) Good Food, Good Drinks- Each small business that hosts the Social Club always offers something special for it’s patrons. This month, Noni’s had drink specials on some of their customer favorites. And if you came with an appetite, their menu had you covered. Next month you won’t want to miss what’s in store.
5) Come Early, Leave Late- Throughout the night there will be plenty to take in. One of the highlights of this month’s event was an exclusive interview with MMG artist Stalley. You never know who is going to be in the building so it’s best to come early and leave late to get the full experience.
