Poodie was born in Baltimore and raised partially there and Hempstead, NY (Long Island). She is heavily influence from both places, but between the two … always felt more at home in NY. Now, living in an environment where she was heavily influenced by groups like like Earth, Wind, and Fire, Blue Magic, Rick James. Poodie marveled & studied all of these savvy soulful songs.
In 1996 , Poodie visited Atlanta and then more frequently until 2005 when she finally moved to the “ATL”. Where she met Ness Lee & added harmonies to a track he recorded titled “Downstairs” and by the time his album “All In A Days Work” dropped, Poodie was added to six more songs to total of seven recordings. 50+ features later she still give a lot of the credit to Ness Lee. Poodie always in the studio working on production from Lex Boogie of Broady Champs & the Beat Gods and working with writers like Adrift Da Belle and CoCo Jones. Poodie has been featured on tracks with phenom talents such as Jarren Benton, Sidestreet Ked, G.R.E.A.T. Scott, Boog Brown, Eternia, Methuzulah, Ness Lee, Point Game, Illastrate Productions and more.
Higher and a full R&B track called "Better" are featured on Adrift Da Belle's "Garden State Parkway" which was released March 2010. She also appears on a track called "My Love which is on Boog Brown's album "Brown Study", which was released Sept. 2010. Poodie is currently working on her own project as well for release summer of 2011 called "My Perfect Mistake"
