I can't say enough about the folks behind this showcase up in Athens this weekend. We're honored over here at the A3C to be one of their mentioned points of inspiration for the first installment of the H.E.R Hip Hop Showcase. If anybody knows how difficult is is to start something this ambitious it's us and we've been really impressed with what they have lined up for their first installment.
The event takes place this Friday (April 9th) at New Earth Music Hall up in Athens (227 W. Dougherty St. Athens, GA 30601) and will feature a panel starting at 7pm with an industry mixer immediately following. Then around 9pm the music kicks off featuring A3C vets Kidz in the Hall, Writtenhouse, Donnis, and Stanza, along with headliners Dead Prez, and Athens up and comers Fresh and Wildkard.
