A3C Spotlight - Da Beatminerz

Posted by Dacota G on Aug 29

Hip-Hop production crew Da Beatminerz consists of brothers Mr. Walt and DJ Evil Dee. The group formed in 1992 and received their first placement on Black Moon’s debut single “Who Got Da Props.” Since then the dynamic duo from Brooklyn, NY have produced records for artist such as Nas, De La Soul, Next, Fat Joe, M.O.P. and more. Their gritty style has provided artists with that grimey, street, underground sound for over two decades. Below we compiled five of our favorite Da Beatminerz tracks over the years. Be sure to check out Da Beatminerz this October at A3C’s 10th anniversary festival.

M.O.P. – “My Kinda Nigga Part II feat. Heather B”

Smif N Wessun – “Toolz of the Trade”

KRS-One – “Ova Here”

Black Star – “Astronomy (8th Light)

Vinnie Paz – “Bad Day”
