Lil Wayne has been apologizing for the delay of Tha Carter V since 2014. We are all wondering what is really going on with the release. With all the turmoil between Lil Wayne & Cash Money there are so many parts of this story.
Tha Carter V was supposed to release October of 2014. It never happened and then in December of 2014, Wayne dropped a series of tweets about the label refusing to release it to the public.
“To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it.
This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation.
I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy
I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u”
Those tweets are from 2014 , it is now 2016 and the situation looks even worst.  Lil Wayne made it known that it wasn’t his fault that the album hasn’t dropped. He has even said that he no longer wants to be a part of Cash Money Records.
Birdman went on Hot 97’s Ebro in the morning and said "Whatever he want, I'm fine with. I ain't gonna stop him, I'm gonna embrace it. Wayne is a boss," said Birdman. He followed by saying that "I would never stop him from doing nothing. “
Everyone is playing the blame game but the real question is, what is the hold up? Who is really taking their time releasing the album?
Lil Wayne and Frank Ocean are going neck to neck about the release date of their highly anticipated albums. Will Boys Don’t Cry drop before Tha Carter V?
