The festival grounds were filled with fans waiting to hear the great sounds of 1996. A3C goers had the pleasure of choosing between hearing the Trill OG Bun B perform or vibing to DJ Toomp as he transitions between a westoast-eastcoast fusion of Tupac’s “Americaz Most Wanted” and Biggie’s “Who Shot Ya” all while keeping that authentic form of djaying alive.

The event was jam packed with interactive stations from Toyota Music in which you were able to receive a free custom t-shirt and see the creation of a cd transform into functional vinyl record. Patrons were also able to get a cut from Killer Mike’s S.W.A.G shop.

Special guest Sonny Digital was in attendance talking with fans and showing off the design of his collaboration with LRG to create a custom D.U.B design on a Toyota Rav4.

Art in every form was presented from music to visual. Atlanta based visual artist Brandon Sadler of Rising Red Lotus showcased his artistry live with a portrait of an Asian inspired snake and mantis. Here’s what Brandon had to say about his recent creation, “With designs like these I just freestyle. I try to combine graffiti with an anime/manga style.”

Overall the vibes were great. Many new relationships were formed as people got to enjoy their favorite music together. 1996 was a legendary year for hip-hop culture and to see how the style and music is making a full circle back to this pivotal moment is amazing. For those of you that missed out on this event don’t worry because part two begins on the It’s Lit showcase on the festival grounds @3pm. See you there!
