Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, super producer Ski Beatz remains in his own lane. Formally known as the "MC Will- Ski", Ski Beatz was once a member of the group Original Flavor, who in the 90's had a hit single called, "Can I Get Open", which featured now megastar, Jay-Z. Being in this group spawned a new business relationship with his once manager, now friend, Dame Dash. During production of Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt album in 1996, Dame called upon Ski to create some tracks, not only who this mark his first production placement on an album, the tracks Ski produced were also hit singles, "Dead Presidents" and "Feelin It". In conjunction with the Roc-A-Fella label , Ski launched his on production company Roc-A-Block. Under his company Ski, produced Fat Joe's hit single, "Just Blaze" , and Camp Lo's debut album Uptown Saturday Night. After Dame Dash severed ties with Jay-z, Roc-A-Block folded. Since then Ski has reunited with Dame Dash on Dash's new label DD172 Label. Working with such acts such as fellow A3C performer Murs, Jay Electronica, and Mos Def. Through many rigorous studios sessions and progress, Ski will definitely remain a hip hop production icon for years to come.
