NYC femcee **Jean Grae** needs no introduction. The product of South African jazz musicians **Sathima Bea Benjamin** and **Abdullah Ibrahim** was born with an ear for music, inherently just like skin tone or eye color. After dropping out of **NYU **after only attending the prestigious institution for less than a month decided to pursue her passion as an underground lyricist. Even with her thriving solo career prior on the rise, her big break came when she linked up with **Grammy Award** winning producer **9th Wonder** to release their collaborative LP entitled ***Jeanius***. Show after show, project after project, performance after performance Grae has proven that she posses the essential elements needed to evolve in the culture we call hip-hop.
