From killing it at A3C last year to making The 2009 XXL Freshman 10 list, Curren$y has had his share of enviable events in the past year. And now in 2010, he will be the first artist to release work under the re-born Roc-A-Fella imprint.
Talking to MTV about the impetus behind the move, Damon Dash says:
"[Curren$y] inspired me to dust off the chains. We brought 'em out for kicks, just 'cause we could. Then we was like, 'F--- it, let's put it out through Roc-A-Fella."
The New Orleans native also has a project pending with Center Edge Territory whose members also include Jay Electronica and Mos Def.
