Akomplice Clothing's Fall 2012 look book gives a real look at America & Its Politics

Written by Lucien Wall | Sep 21

Akomplice produces their Fall 2012 look book as a photo story of the heated street scene during the DNC (Democratic National Convention) in Charlotte, North Carolina. They used the politically charged setting as the backdrop for their Fall look book, and what they encountered was an extreme array of viewpoints rarely covered by mainstream media. "I couldn't believe the crazy stuff we saw, and what's even crazier is the news doesn't give it a 3 second clip, I guess they don't want the people to realize what's happening" says Patrick Liberty Akomplice co-founder.

The range from Akomplice includes an offering of Jackets, corduroy denim varsities, old style baseball hats, tees, belts, snapbacks, and crewnecks, all captured amid the intense nature of American politics. Akomplice cohorts includes: owners of Akomplice, members of North Carolina based skate-shop Black Sheep, and DJ duo Mr. Invisible, who interspersed themselves among the frenzied streets outside of the convention. Poignant visuals ranged from Occupy protests, right and left wing outrage, and a veteran amputee affixed to a cross, representing a reminder of the very real effects of war. Akomplice does an amazing job showing the real rawness America contains within. Another very interesting look book from the fellas over at AK. You can find the Fall collection online at MLTD.com or any of the AK retailers worldwide.
