P.SO “The Earth Tone King”(formerly known as“P.CASSO”) is an artist not unlike his namesake. Incorporating mixed media as a solid emcee, a breakout producer and a burgeoning videographer, P.SO is using unorthodox methods to create a single vision in music that has garnered him fans worldwide.

Using broad strokes of genius, acute angles of lyricism and obtuse angles of obscurely sampled beats, he’s ultimately painted a masterpiece of sonic border pushing dimensions. As an artist unafraid to explore, he’s traveled to Germany and Switzerland rocking stages and building connections. This world view has him often collaborating with producers/musicians as far as South Africa and the UK.

As a key member of the NYC basedA-OK Collectivehe’s shared stages withBlu, Wale, Brand Nubian, DJ Evil Dee, DJ Premierand more. He’s worked with2 Hungry Bros., 88-KeysandDJ Spinna. He has 2 projects currently available; the well received full-length album,For Your Considerationand the free digital albumEarth Tones. He has two music videos for his singles off his debut album circulating the internet at over 10,000 views between both videos. He received the moniker “Earth Tone King” for his preference in low-key, non-flashy clothes and sneakers in different earth-toned shades as well as his music selection and process being very natural and organic. He says of his creative process, “I believe that music is the language of life, and what more could I be fluent than living. I don’t necessarily MAKE music, it naturally finds me.”

P.SO is working on his next projectGateway To Greatnessslated for a Summer ’11 release. Helming most of the production himself and enlisting the talents of his fellow A-OK Collective members,The Gateway to Greatnessis a darker contrast from his previous efforts. If the corridors of your mind’s gallery seem lacking musical canvasses and in need of an abstract musical perspective, listen to P.SO and you will definitely find art of a different hue, possibly an earth tone.
