Building upon last year’s extraordinary compilation album, the A3C Hip-Hop Festival has once again partnered with iHipHop Distribution for the third year, to bring a diverse array of new hip-hop to fans across the globe with A3C Volume 3. Last year’s album, A3C Volume 2, built upon 2011’s innovative compilation to showcase a new wave of premier talent from across the country.
Between A3C Volume 1 and A3C Volume 2, the compilation series has been influential within the genre, serving as a barometer for what artists will become renowned staples in the ever-changing hip-hop landscape. Past compilation artists include Trinidad James, Rockie Fresh, Freddie Gibbs, Action Bronson, Ab-Soul, OCD: Moosh & Twist, Chase N. Cash, Jarren Benton, Boldy James, Smoke DZA, and Phony Ppl, just to name a few. For this reason, last year’s compilation was praised by iTunes, as its editors raved, “the A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes.”
A3C Volume 3 will follow in its predecessor’s footsteps by once again showcasing over 50 artists on one massive compilation. However, to usher in this year’s compilation, A3C and iHipHop Distribution will open its doors to accept submissions from artists across the globe.
