Building the Beat is a producer workshop moderated by Byron Wright, Director, BMI. The purpose of this workshop is to educate and inform young producers about the challenges and techniques of becoming a successful producer. Each workshop features one top producer, previous producers including Zaytoven and Bangladesh. The featured producer is expected to discuss the motivation behind a few of his popular records as well as give feedback to a pre-selected number of producers in attendance on one of their beats.
The Building the Beat workshop to take place on Friday, October 8th in conjunction with the A3C Hip Hop Festival will feature Kane Beatz, who was named a Top Producer at the 2010 BMI Urban Music Awards in Los Angeles and produced the following hit records:
