Almost 20 years ago, ACID invented loop-based music production.
Now ACID Pro Next is the world's first DAW with audio separation.
It is the next generation of music production. With a world first for any DAW, it includes zynaptiq® STEM MAKER audio source separation technology. Sounds complicated, but the result speaks for itself: It takes a standard stereo file, and separates it into its component tracks for sampling and remixing. Ever wanted to remix your favourite artists? Split their songs using the STEM MAKER and include their extracted vocals in your tracks – it's easy!
A3C: What type of legacy do you want to leave for company?
ACID PRO NEXT will have a lasting impact on the musical landscape. Like Moog Synthesizers, Marshall amps, Hammond organs, Antares Autotune or a Stradivarius, it will become a timeless instrument in music history.
A3C: Aside from colleagues at APN , who do you admire in the industry?
We admire people and companies that explore innovative ideas to create tools and instruments for creative artists.
In particular, we admire our friends at zynaptiq, who invented incredible audio tools like the STEM MAKER.
A3C: When it comes to Acid Pro Next, what are you most proud of?
ACID has always used groundbreaking audio technology for producing music, seamlessly allowing you mix and match sample pitches and tempos.
Now ACID Pro Next brings the next generation of sampling to the masses with all-new audio file separation technology.
ACID Pro Next includes zynaptiq® STEM MAKER high quality audio source separation technology. Algorithms based on deep learning, as well as patent pending DSP algorithms split your tracks into vocals, drums and music, so you can use these results in your own music and remixes.
A3C: If you could change one thing about APN what would it be?
The only change would be to have a Mac version already, so that all musicians get the chance to try out ACID Pro Next and the STEM MAKER.
A3C: What differentiates you from your competitors?
We see competition in the music industry as a sporting competition. On the square you treat yourself nothing, but then you celebrate and drink together.
There are like-minded competitors, partners and others, from whom we differ for that reason ;-)
A3C: What about the audio software industry do you find most exciting?
The people in the audio software industry share many principles and beliefs
We all love simple workflows, high sound quality and above all - good music.
A3C: Where do you see the audio software industry in the next 2-3 years?
This industry is full of surprises and, above all, full of passionate, creative people.
The performance of modern computers and technological advances are overwhelming.
I therefore expect impressive instruments and tools based on artificial intelligence - there will be an incredible creative potential for us musicians.
Make sure you meet Torsten Heise at The Studio on October 10th-12th @ A3C Conference presented by Acid Pro Next.
