For 2009, the A3C has partnered with Unique Squared to create an entire event centered on music technology. If you're a DJ, producer or MC looking to test out new equipment, or pursue a full time career in music, this is the place to be.
Unique Squared Technology Showcase and Demo at the Graveyard will be open from 5:00pm-3:00am Thursday and 4:00pm - 3:00am Friday and Saturday night - Vendors include: Unique Squared, SAE, Vestax, Rane and Ableton.
The demos will take place in the Earl from 2:00pm - 7:00pm Friday and Saturday and will feature SAE, Ableton, Vestax, Rane, and Open Labs.

101 Basics of the software and controller. NSM Joe Jack will be on hand to cover any questions and will go over all of the the in's outs of this new controller software bundle.
FRIDAY 3PM – 5PM
SAE –“Track and Stack”
“Award-winning engineer Scott Kieklak will host a workshop where he teaches the audience how to create a track from scratch using ProTools and various instrument plug ins. Volunteers from the audience will be able to create the beat and write lyrics on site during the workshop. By the end of the workshop there will be a complete track with lyrics.”

Rane – SL1/SL3 Clinic Scratch Live 101
101 Class that will go over all of the basics of Scratch Live. Learn basic signal flow of how the software works as well as gaining a basic understanding for all 3 modes of the software.

OPEN LABS DEMO
Come and see the instrument that Polo Da Don, Timbaland, Lil Jon and many more are using to create, produce and perform some of the hottest tracks in the business. Open Labs will demonstrate a sampling of products and techniques involved in making music that includes: Pro Tools 8, Ableton Live 8, RiFF VST hosting, multiple VST instruments, GURU, BFD2, Reason 4 and much more…Open Labs will also demonstrate how to put together a track on a Miko LXD, and performing live with a DBeat Pro. Each attendee will also get an opportunity to come up and get hands-on with our products. Open Labs is the maker of the Miko, Neko and DBeat keyboard workstations.
SATURDAY 2PM – 3PM
ABLETON DEMO
Huston Singletary is Ableton's lead clinician and trainer. He'll be at A3C showing all the newest features in Live 8 and Suite 8. Including the new Effects, Instruments, Slicing Tools and Remixing features. The Akai-Ableton APC40 controller will also be shown with Live 8 as well. Huston will also discuss the use of Live 8 with the MPC series drum machines as well as taking a look at the QuickTime scoring feature.
During the 3-4pm demonstration he'll utilize and discuss the Vestax VCM-600 DJ controller with Live 8.

VCM-600 This class will be taught by the National Product Specialist Huston. He will cover the ease of plug and play design as well as going over many of the key features of this hot new controller.

102 Class that will cover the a step past the basics. This class will be focused on the integration of a TTM57SL mixer/controller with Scratch Live. This class will be for the guys who are ready to take it to the next level.
