With Summer ’16 coming to an end, the Fall releases are beginning to roll out. Here are the top five Hip-hop singles released this week.
Gucci Snakes- Tyga featuring Desiigner
Just days after Kanye announced their signing to G.O.O.D Music, Tyga and Desiigner releases their first collaboration, Gucci Snakes. The surprising duo debuted the song at Yeezy’s Season 4 fashion show just last week. The record’s about, you guessed it, the brand Gucci, and features Desiigner’s wild adlibs and Tyga’s tight flow. This unique collaboration may come as a shock to the fans, but it will probably be more than just a one-time thing.
One Reason (Flex)- Wale featuring Eric Bellinger
Wale follows up his summer hit, PYT with his newest single One Reason (Flex) featuring Eric Bellinger. The first of many collabs with Bellinger, according to Wale, One Reason gives us many reasons to want to hear more. Although busy with his new family, the D.C. native is balancing his personal life and business rather well. Wale’s next album SHINE (Still Here, Ignoring Negative Energy) is set to release later this year, but it’s release date has not yet been announced.
Stealing- Ty Dolla $ign
Ty Dolla $ign is back out here breaking women’s hearts with his new single, Stealing. The single, released on Friday features a smooth guitar riff, soulful melody and pretty literal lyrics. Stealing is Ty’s fourth and final release off of his upcoming album, Campaign. The album is set to drop September 23 and is sure to bring Ty, along with his collaborators, to the top of the charts.
Cash Machine- D.R.A.M
D.R.A.M. is on the way to the top again with his newest single Cash Machine. The showcases D.R.A.M.’s falsetto tones and, of course, a heavy piano riff. Cash Machine is super catchy and is a great end-of-summer hit. His previous single, Broccoli is still taking over the airwaves and it’s only a matter of time that this record follows suit.
Love Star – Common featuring Marscha Ambrosius and PJ
Common continues to empower black women with his new single, Love Star. The new record features vocals from the beautiful Marscha Ambrosius and PJ. Love Star serves a preview for Common’s new documentary, Love Star. This documentary celebrates the beauty and power of the black woman from his perspective as a Black Man.
