When rap aficionados think of the current crop of Atlanta emcees slick wordplay and precise flows probably aren’t the first thing that come to mind. Up and coming rapper Deante' Hitchcock has been getting attention lately by showing that the city of Atlanta has young talent that has a lot more to bring to table than trap anthems. Hitchcock is set to showcase his talent at A3C 2016 with appearances at the ATLien Tribute Show and ZillaNoise: Attack of the Peach!

Hailing from the Southside of Atlanta, Hitchcock fell in love with the vibrant hip-hop scene in the city through the works of Lil Bow Wow and Ludacris. He began rapping at the age of 12 as a part of a duo called the Tainted Clique. Hitchcock really began to take his skill for crafting rhymes more seriously after writing and performing a rap for his uncle who had been writing all the songs for the group.
Social media gives rappers an unprecedented amount of options to market themselves. Hitchcock has increased his online following by keeping things simple. Twitter videos of the young emcee spitting bars in his car have helped acquire a viral buzz and a reputation as one of the most talented young rappers out right now.
Hitchcock proved that his prowess for rap extends beyond backseat freestyles. He released a twelve-track project GOOD which showcases his ability to effortlessly shift from playful bragging to meaningful commentary.
