On Friday of last week, Harlem’s own Dave East released his major-label debut, Paranoia, featuring Nas, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, Chris Brown and more.
Earlier this morning, he stopped by The Breakfast Club with Charlemagne and Angela Yee to discuss the concept of his EP and his current label deal with Def Jam Records x Mass Appeal. Recently becoming a father, he also discussed life with his daughter and trying to maintain the financial expectations from his friends and family. With Paranoia being his first project on a big label, he wanted his “Perfect” collaboration with Chris Brown to be a radio hit, while still staying true to his New York roots with the lyrical content on his EP.
Even though he has over 1M followers on Instagram, he briefly spoke about not being into social media that much, modeling, and the attention that he receives from women. Dave also confirmed the rumors of new music with him and Drake. You can check out the interview in its entirety below.
