The Atlanta music scene is a blessing and a curse; it’s swarming with hip-hop talent, but it’s hard to discover music that’s new and good. And for artists, it’s hard to stand out. ATL’s Own, presented by A3C & Schweinbeck, intends to bridge that gap.

ATL’s Own is a showcase series with a little bit of friendly competition for some of Atlanta’s up-and-coming artists. The first showcase is set to debut at 8 p.m., July 13th at the Music Room on Edgewood where two artists will be chosen to perform on the ATL’s Own stage at this year’s A3C Festival & Conference. Of course we don’t want y’all in the Music Room clueless, so we decided to put together a playlist featuring each artist performing in the showcase.

Here are a few tracks to dive into if you'd like to get familiar with the acts ahead of time:

Where: Music Room, 327 Edgewood Ave Atlanta, Ga. 30312

Time: 8 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Cost: Free with RSVP or $10 at the door

Lineup: Izzy Jone$, E Chapo, Kris J, JerZ, NoGum, Hundo, M, RobOblu, Skipper Jones
