From Chi-Town to ATL: 4-IZE's Journey In The Music Industry

Chicago native, 4-IZE is the artist that is stuck in limbo because he is between underground rap and mainstream music. He brings together both sides of the music world together to his own advantage. He has a long list of experience working in entertainment including being a writer, director, producer, A&R and more. He has a long list of accomplishments and he was even awarded “Best MC” by creative Loafing in 2011.

He began rapping in 1991 with LOUDMUTH HOOLIGANS. In 1994, 4-IZE moved to Atlanta to get more serious about his career in the msuic industry. 

He has been features on two three-time platinum Ludacris albums, “Back For the First Time” and “Word of Mouf”. He has also worked with 9th Wonder, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Mr. Bangladesh, and more. He has performed with multiple artist including Big Sean, Juicy J, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, KRS-One, Mike Jones, Lil Flip, Redman & Method Man and a long list of artist. He has recorded with Talib Kweli, B.O.B, Gucci Mane, Killer Mike, The Ying Yang Twins, De La Soul and Phife Dawg.

His has appeared on MTV’s Direct Effect Rap Battle in 2001. He participated in the “Greater Than AIDS” radio commercial in 2009. He was on CNBC’s American Greed: “Fake It Till You Make It” in 2015.

In 2011, 4-IZE tagged the city as a part of promoting himself and the local media covered a story about him. The city had to google him to figure out who was illegally tagging the city. But it was a great way to gather peoples’ attention.
