We’re in the middle of summer, which means its peak sneaker season. As the weather remains hot, so does the competition to see who can wear the best kicks. While you may feel some pressure We’ve compiled a list of some of the best releases (in no particular order) of this month to keep you fresh.

10. Steph Curry “Back 2 Back” MVP Pack (August 10th) - $400

SoleCollector

Celebrating his second league MVP title in a row, Steph Curry brings out the heat with his latest production from Under Armour. The design puts a metallic gold hue on the UA Curry 1 and UA Curry 2 and adds a gold mid-sole. Now you can hoop in grandiose style

9. Adidas x Rick Owens “Masterdons” (August 2nd) - $1000

TheSnobbette

This is a stylish shoe for both the sporty and designer crowd. Similar to the Pro Model, this shoe stays true to the Rick Owens style of the thick midsole. Made from calf leather, the shoe is also available in three colorways, white, black and gray. This is the perfect sneaker for someone who loves the casual look but also likes to show off a sense of style.

8. Nike Air Zoom Talaria “USA” (Augusut 5th) - $175

SneakerbarDetroit

An iconic running shoe, the Nike Air Zoom Talaria makes its return just in time for the 2016 olympics. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, this shoe features the traditional red, white and blue color scheme of ‘merica with a casual low-top style. Cursive writing is emblazoned on the back, and the sole has neon coloration. Represent the USA in style while you cheer them on.

7. Adidas D Rose 7 (August 11th) $160

Sneakernews

Although Derrick Rose was recently shipped off to the New York Knicks, Adidas hasn’t stopped producing his shoes with the Chicago Bulls colorway. The D Rose 7 is a very cool hooping shoe that could even pass as a casual sneaker in the right crowds. It’s high-top design is locked in with the signature Adidas Boost material, and the shoe also boasts the prominent three-stripe logo emblazoned on its front. The icy sole is a nice touch thrown in here. Wherver D Rose goes, he surely brings the style with him.

6. Adidas Originals NMD XR1 (August 18th) - Price Unknown

Solecollector

Adidas Originals has been on a creative tear lately with its innovative styles and shoe designs. They continue their hot streak of stylish releases with the NMD XR1. The XR1 features a micro-rib upper with a white Boost midsole and suede accents.Stay sporty and casual with this cool look.

5. Asics Gel Lyte III “Albino Papercut” (August 3rd) - Highest Bidder

Highsnobsociety

A very rare find indeed, the “Albino Papercut” is more on the casual side of footwear for the summer. The color scheme is relatively calm, designed with a cream-colored suede upper and black and red accents. What makes these shoes so exclusive is the fact that only two pairs have been produced worldwide, and they’re only available for auction on eBay.

4. Air Jordan 14 Indiglo (August 13th) - $190

Flightclub

Jordan brand will always remain a staple of sneaker culture, so it’s only right we include this one on the list. The Indiglo hasn’t been released since 1999, but even then the shoe had a slightly different color scheme. Today’s model retains the black upper, and is designed with a combination of leather and durabuck. The white sole complements the dark coloration, and the Indiglo Green is the perfect accent to tie it all together.

3. Nike Spiridon “USA” (August 4th) $175

Nicekicks

Since we’re in the thick of the 2016 olympics, we figured it was only right to add another olympic themed shoe to our August releases list. They have a similar appeal to the aforementioned Talaria, but take on less of the trainer style and favor the running shoe. Flyknit meshing wraps around most of the upper, and the blue and white lace holes add a nice touch to the navy hue encompassing the shoe. Nike has also stayed relatively true to the 1996 aesthetic by adding gold coloration to the Nike SWOOSH and a small strip on the tongue. One of the easily-overlooked but very cool aspects of this shoe is the icy sole, a coveted trademark on certain signature Nikes.

2. Gucci Metallic Flame Trainer (August 2nd) - $780

KicksonFire

This is a surprising look coming from Gucci. Perhaps looking to produce some shoes that were truly “fire”, Gucci switches it up for their Fall and Winter collection. The off-white leather base sets a nice foundation for the orange and red flame print on its outer sides. The trainers also have mismatched snakeskin coloration on the heels, complementing the signature Gucci red and blue stripes. This is a casual look that you may be able to sneak into a few cocktail parties and turn heads.

1. Reebok Question Mid Jadakiss A5 (August 12th) - $140

Sneakernews

With all of the hoopla over Nike and Adidas Summer releases, Reebok must have been feeling left out. They make a lot of noise here with the Jadakiss A5, a shoe reminiscent of the Iverson’s. This shoe is an ode to the iconic 2001 ad featuring both Iverson and Jadakiss, showing just how relevant to Hip-Hop culture Allen Iverson was. Black leather and ballistic nylon form the upper, with a silver toe and red sole. The chunky midsole is definitely a dope look, as well as the “Question” logo.
