'Long Live the Pimp': A Documentary of Pimp C

A couple years ago we were honored to host a Pimp C tribute show with Mass Appeal, Bun B & Staple Socks.  It was an amazing night for hip-hop, and one we won't soon forget.  Bun B, 8Ball & MJG, Twista, Trae Tha Truth, Doughbeezy, Big Gipp and many other southern legends rocked the stage in honor of Pimp C.

Bun B, Nas, Michael "5000" Watts, DJ Paul, and more talk about the legendary Southern rapper and the impact he had on hip-hop.

Few artists were as authentic as Pimp C. Born Chad Butler, the rapper and producer earned his stripes with an unfiltered approach to music that, alongside Bun B as UGK, transformed the Port Arthur representative into an underground king. It's why, eight years after his untimely death, he is still viewed as one of the most influential figures in rap. As the timeless saying goes, trill recognize trill.

Enjoy!
