What to expect from A3C's Pro Audio Center

The Pro-Audio center is an audiophile’s dream.   The Pro-Audio Center offers intimate and interactive programming that includes: workshops, demos, panels, showcases, live interviews and mentor sessions.  Connect and learn from some of the best producers, DJs, songwriters, audio engineers and music executives.

The Pro-Audio Center is located at SAE Institue of Atlanta and takes place from Friday, Oct 7 through Saturday, Oct 8th.

Featured speakers include:  Jerry Wonda, Mr. DJ, DJ Toomp,  Bryan-Michael Cox, Bad Boy’s Hitmen (Sean C & LV, D-Dot, Nashiem Myrick, and Younglord), Streetrunner, Focus..., Needlz, M16, The Olympicks, Robert Glasper, Rico Brooks, Dow Jones, Sound Oracle, KY Engineerin, The Frontrunnaz, DJ Burn One, Black Metaphor, Fuse of 808 Mafia, Ray Daniels, WLPWR, Versatile Traxx, Major Seven, DJ Jelly, DJ Jaycee and Mark Byrd.

Highlights Include

We will be celebrating the release of two classic Hip-Hop albums, that were released in 1996, with producers that were instrumental to their creation.  Jerry Wonda will be breaking down one of the most successful Hip-Hop albums of all time, Fugees’ The Score, and Mr. DJ will be talking about creating Outkasts’ ATLiens.

SESAC hosts an intimate conversation with Robert Glasper, a jazz pianist and record producer.  Glasper  has worked with Bilal and Mos Def as musical director, Q-Tip, Kanye West, Meshell Ndegeocello, J Dilla, Erykah Badu, Jay-Z, Talib Kweli, Common, Slum Village, Lupe Fiasco, The Roots, Kendrick Lamar and Maxwell.  Bryan-Michael Cox and Greggory Smith (SESAC) will be hosting the conversation.

Bad Boy's Hitmen (Sean C & LV, D-Dot, Nashiem Myrick, and Younglord) will be getting together on stage to discuss making hits for over 20 years.  Bad Boy’s Legendary Hitmen have produced hit records for Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, Diddy, LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Big Pun, Rakim, Busta Rhymes, DMX, Mariah Carey and dozens of other legends.  The Bad Boy’s Reunion is presented by Collabmix.

Native Instruments is returning to A3C’s Pro-Audio Center for their highlighly anticipated Native Sessions.  Native Sessions provide valuable insight into current themes in music production, performance, or DJing with NI products through specialized workshops, discussions, and social exchange.

The ultimate Atlanta DJ panel “Started from Scratch: The History of Atlanta’s Pioneer DJs.”  This panel will serve as a launching pad for Started from Scratch: The History of Atlanta’s Pioneer DJs, an upcoming independent documentary that is an account of the musical and cultural beginnings of hip-hop in Atlanta, told from the perspectives of many of Atlanta’s earliest and most influential DJs, including: DJ Jaycee, Mr. DJ, Lady DJ, DJ Jelly, DJ Mars, Jerry Smokin' B and DJ Toomp.

[istandard] will be hosting their annual A3C producer showcase.  24 of the finest up-and-coming producers from across the globe will showcase their tracks in front of three prolific producers: Streetrunner, Focus… and Needlz.

We’ll also be hosting Playback Sessions for artists and producers to get immediate feedback on records.  All you need to do is bring 1 song - or beat - on a USB and get feedback on the spot from some of hip-hop’s most accomplished producers, songwriters and A&Rs.
