Motion Family steps from behind the cameras for A3C

Motion Family is responsible for some of the dopest music videos that have been released in the past few years. They have produced visuals for  Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Jeezy, Fetty Wap, Big K.R.I.T., Young Thug, Rick Ross, Lil’ Wayne and a whole bunch of other big name music artists. There isn’t a person in the industry who does not know what Motion Family does, but there are people who are still curious as to who they are.

Motion Family is a production company based here in Atlanta, GA. Created by David KA, Diwang Valdez and Sebastian Urrea, these three directors use their specific skill sets to collaborate and create unique media content. Motion Family has contributed to the major success of independent artist such as Big KRIT and Yelawolf. Not only do they create visuals to accompany the some of the big hits on the radio and internet, Motion Family have extended their brand into marketing. They have contributed to ad campaigns for Casio G-Shock and the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards.

While the company was started by David, Diwang, and Sebastian, there is alway room for the right people to join the family. The latest person to join the crew is Matt Swinsky. Matt first worked with Motion Family in 2011 and is now a full fledge member of the team directing videos for Ludacris, Ty Dolla Sign and Two-9.

Motion Family is not only recognized in the Hip-Hop community. They have been acknowledged for their work and creativity by The New York Time and CNN. The fellas have been kept busy by putting together Boosie’s 2014 documentary Boosie BadAzz: Touchdown 2 ‘Cause Hell and touring with Jeezy as visual branding team. Currently, Motion Family is touring across the country visiting festivals and participating in panel discussions. Motion Family will be making a stop at A3C Festival & Conference for the Music Video Director's Showcase presented by the Atlanta Film Society.
