This year, women are showing out at A3C and the Girls Love Hip Hop stage wasn’t any different.   The diverse lineup was perfect to showcase all different styles of artists that came to perform at A3C.

First up to the mic was R&B singer Mélat.  She serenaded the audience with her soulful voice and chill vibes.  The room was super intimate with cool blue lights, the setting was perfect for her performance, and she owned it.  A native of Austin, TX, Mélat gave the crowd a taste of her vocal abilities.  She’s an old soul, influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and more.

Next up was Taylor Gang’s own female emcee Raven Felix.  Felix, representing the West Coast laid down her verses with style and attitude.  She performed her single, Hit The Gas and Girl and proved she’s just like every other rapper.  Although it wasn’t obvious, Felix grew up listening to Punk and Metal, and didn’t actually discover rap until high school.  Through female emcees such as Eve and Nicki Minaj, as well as rapper Wiz Khalifa, Felix was able to grab a pen and start building her craft.  Now signed to Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg, she is traveling the country and exploring her new career in Hip-hop.

Asian DOLL was next on stage and she was truly an act to remember.  From her fishnet stockings to her neon fit and rainbow platform boots, she was furthest thing from basic.  Her unique style and rock star attitude gave a twist to the show that not many people were expecting.

Atlanta native, E Chapo (pronounced: Ee-Chah-Po), brought out the fam and turned the club up.  She put her city on the map with as one of the only female rappers coming out of Atlanta and sounding like Atlanta.  Out of all of the performers, she worked the stage, audience and records the best.  E Chapo made sure to let A3C know that she is the next one up.

All of these women have different stories with different executions to their performance but their love for Hip-hop seems to be the same.
