How has your city and influenced your music?
Being from Jersey taught me how to be real with myself and my music. I desire more than what my city has to offer musically. My city helped shape my music by influencing me to press harder. I feel like Jersey is slept on when it comes to artistic talent and our artists shouldn't be ashamed to say they are from Jersey, rather than reppin NY or Philly because they are close. I am a part of the music scene in Philly, but I am proud to say I am from Jersey!
What song, video or project are you most proud of to date?
I am so excited about my new single "LNC (Late Night Creep)," because its my first official single and the lyrics aren't just catchy, they make up a powerful statement for women to be able to make this day and age.
What do you enjoy about bout being a Hip-Hop artist?
I enjoy that I can make a record about any topic, and it's still relatable to a whole array of people. I like that there isn't a limit on my creativity and I can write about topics that people are sometimes afraid to address.
What can people expect from you over the next 6 months?
I plan to drop an EP, late winter, early spring. This will be my first EP and I'm very excited about it. Definitely more music and videos will be dropping in preparation for the EP. My next single "Voodoo" is planned for a Halloween release.
What advice would you give to yourself a few years ago?
If I knew then what I know now, I would tell myself not to put my career on hold for anybody. Sometimes life gets in the way of your goals, and certain people in your life try and hold you back from where your headed. I would tell myself to cut people off and focus, no matter what.
What do you most look forward to about A3C Festival & Conference?
I look forward to all the performances and networking opportunities. Just to be in an atmosphere where music is celebrated all around you, is what I look most look forward to.
