90s Were the "Golden Age" of Hip-Hop #A3Cpolls

We asked and you answered.  What do you think was hip-hop's golden age?  The results are from a 7-day poll conducted on @A3C twitter.  #A3Cpolls is a series where we ask the hip-hop community questions that we want to get answered.

People are always asking us what we think the "Golden age of hip-hop was."  Soooo, we put #A3Cpolls to the test... and overwhelming response was the 90s.

I don't want to get toooooo analytical on y'all, BUT your answer to this question has almost everything to do with when you were born.  I said, "almost" because some folks transcend generations and connect with music from a different time, but most of us are raised on pop culture and "what's hot" at the time.  That being said, our fondest memories tend to be associated with the music we listened to when we were in our teens.  When we get older, we (the collective "we") don't have as much time to listen to, or appreciate new music.

This question isn't going anywhere, and will be revisited time and time again.  It will be discussed in studios, barber shops and in living rooms for the foreseeable future.  I believe the answer will change with time.  I think the 90s were amazing, and would probably vote for the 90s, but I'm 31.  If I were 21, I'm guessing I would vote for 00s.

The next #A3Cpolls question is coming soon, BUT if you have a question you want us to ask the crowd, let us know in the comment section.
